Patrick White

Patrick leads client projects to develop and implement local growth strategies and major projects. He also advises on the creation and local delivery and investment partnerships and the Governance needed to drive delivery.
Patrick’s interests and expertise are in making things happen in complex political and economic environments. He has a strong track record in both local delivery and central Government. During a 28 year career he has had overall delivery responsibility for the North West Regional Development Agency’s £250m annual regeneration programme in Manchester and Merseyside, which included major investment in Liverpool port and waterfront. Over the last two years he has led our work to secure major fiscal flexibility and additional funding for the West Midlands, including East Birmingham and North Solihull, one of the largest regeneration areas in Europe. He has also led work with a number of Combined Authorities and local authorities to develop inclusive growth action plans, bringing a strong focus on deliverability.
Patrick was a Director in the UK Civil Service, where he led on the co-ordination of local government policy and was Principal Private Secretary to two Cabinet Ministers. He led the Cabinet Office’s early work on social impact investing from 2010.
