Kealan's work focuses on understanding complex industries, sectors, technologies, and innovation ecosystems, their role in local, regional and national economies, and identifying how places can build greater capacity to unlock growth and investment opportunities.

His expertise lies in providing strategic economic and policy advice to inform decision making in cities and regions across the UK. Kealan leads our thinking on innovation clusters and is currently developing a cluster development toolkit designed to support places in identifying local and regional growth opportunities and the necessary steps required to mobilise assets and resources. 

Working across both the public and private sectors, including with investors, research institutions and sector organisations, Kealan has significant experience developing strategies focused on sector and innovation development. He leads our teams in undertaking bespoke and complex socio-economic analyses, conducting extensive consultation programmes and supporting places to develop their strategic cases and propositions for investment.
